Privacy and your JSON data

Pasted and opened JSON is processed in your browser. jsonblocks does not upload document contents, filenames, search terms, copied paths, keys, or values to a server.

What remains on your device

The editor, parsing worker, search, formatter, validators, and converters operate locally. JSON is held in memory while the page is open and may remain in memory during navigation between tools. Refreshing or closing clears it. The theme preference is saved in localStorage.

Network requests and fonts

The browser downloads this website, its scripts, images, and bundled fonts. Fonts are served by the same site rather than a third-party font service. A hosting provider can receive ordinary request metadata such as IP address, browser details, request time, and page URL. Its retention policy depends on the deployment provider.

Usage and performance measurements

The current build exposes optional local browser events for successful actions and Web Vitals. These events contain an allowlisted event name, a canonical page path, and numeric performance values where applicable. They are not sent to an analytics service, saved as identifiers, or stored between visits. Built-in samples do not count as custom document activations. Any future remote analytics integration requires a review and an update to this page.

Sharing safely

Copy buttons write to your clipboard when you use them. The viewer does not create document-sharing URLs. Links to examples contain only a built-in sample identifier. Avoid pasting confidential data into community posts, screenshots, issue reports, or query parameters.
